I had my hair dyed on Thursday, and the color had really washed out by the next morning. So I called to see if I could get it redone, and everyone I spoke with was so accommodating and friendly. Molly did my hair (both times) and she's fantastic.

I made my first appointment ever with Elle Marie in Mill Creek and I asked to have my hair fixed from a previous bad cut. I asked for a hair dresser that knows how to cut fine hair in layers and I was given Ally. She fixed my hair so well with a perfect style for me, and after 1 week I'm still very excited about my excellent cut! I received exactly what I asked for and I'm looking forward to having Ally take care of my hair for a long time.

Whitney at Elle Marie Salon in Mill Creek/Bothell is an outstandingly talented hairstylist who adheres to open communication with her customers. I have been going to Whitney for about six months and impressed with her talent, knowledge, and willingness to ensure my customer satisfaction at a high caliber level. I have been to a couple of very expensive stylists in Bellevue over the last decade and needed a change since I was starting to feel like I was being rushed in my appointments. After doing some searching on Yelp and other sites for a great stylist for my type of hair, I found Whitney at Elle Marie. I believe Whitney (and the Elle Marie Salon) is dedicated to always improving her knowledge, training all the while staying on- trend with up-and-coming tends and innovations within the ever-changing and evolving environment of hair-styling. Whitney takes time to learn about her customers and selects products that will specifically work with your unique hair and scalp needs. She doesn't force ancillary products on her customers to meet quotes or salon requirements. I think she gives honest opinions and evaluations of your hair and ensures you are happy. She takes her time to cut color and curl your hair and I never feel rushed or that she's distracted from her focus on my hair. The salon has very flexible hours and opens earlier than most places. Elle Marie Salon is involved in a few philanthropic and community programs in the cities it serves. The team and the salon are civic minded and supports causes such as breast cancer. I think you'll be very happy with the service Whitney can provide and her decade of experience in the hair industry makes her a worthwhile and competent hair technician.

***Update*** *****I just wanted to come on here to update on this review. I was contacted recently by the owner, and she was a pleasure to speak with. She asked me about my experience and heard me out as I explained again why I didn't feel like I had a positive turn out. She seemed very genuine as she talked to me about how important a positive experience is for their customers and invited me to come back in without hesitation to see Jillian and have her help me get to a point where I felt happy. I went in and had a much better experience, and I walked out feeling a lot better/more confident with my new cut. If I could update my star rating I would give 5/5. **** A little bit frustrated. My first time going, Jillian did my hair and I loved her. I felt like she really cared about my experience and talked me through everything she did with my hair, asked me questions, ect. Which made me feel super comfortable because I have social anxiety and it's hard for me to speak up with someone I don't know. She also did a fantastic cut and style. I adored it....but as it was growing out I was feeling it was looking a little weird as I had a bit of an A line....I just wanted to reshape it a bit. And I am frustrated mostly with myself for not asking for her specifically again. Today when I went, the girl that worked on my hair did not make me feel comfortable. She told me a couple of the pictures I was showing as an example looked ridiculous...and she cut my bangs quite short...She didn't speak to me at all during the process of washing/cutting my hair. She didn't ask me questions, she didn't tell me what she was doing, and i spent most of the time staring into the waiting area while she dried my hair. Like I said she didn't speak to me at all until she was done...and I felt like she was just glad to be rid of me....or she only perked up because she wanted to get paid because they were closing soon... I am not very happy with the outcome of the cut....and I honestly didn't want to voice it because I didn't want her to mess with my hair anymore. All in all....I like the place, and Jillian is great. Probably going to just be wearing my hair pulled back for a while until I can afford another 54 dollar haircut.
