My wife and I spent the weekend at the Elm Hurst Inn for a wedding reception. We were both thrilled with the overwhelmingly positive experience.

Our first impressions of the Elm Hurst were extremely favourable as we were both instantly impressed by the historic and elegant buildings. There was a certain level of character that simply cannot be duplicated. 

The wedding/reception was near flawless with top notch food and service included. I was thoroughly impressed with the attentive staff that were also friendly and helpful. 

Our room itself was clean, comfortable and charming. We were fortunate to have a few of the valley that provided a memorable visual when we woke up in the morning.

Overall, I would not only recommend the Elm Hurst as a potential wedding venue, but also for a quiet getaway with exquisite food and enchanting views.

Great stay. Breakfast was awesome. Hosts were great to talk to and very friendly. Spa was great. My wife got a massage while I stayed in the steam room and hot tub. Very relaxing time. Had flowers brought to our room for my wife's birthday and they had them laid out perfectly.  Would recommend anyone to stay. Thanks again for everything guys.

This was our first Sunday Brunch at the Elm Hurst, and my wife and I were very satisfied with the food, ambiance, and service we received. The selection of breakfast and lunch fare was plentiful, and all the items we tried were perfectly prepared and tasted excellent. They also have an additional room dedicated to "build your own crepes", and a variety of desserts. The complimentary Mimosa was a nice touch, and our server was just fantastic! Although the price seems steep, the food really is great and it is a wonderful dining experience that you don't get every day, so go ahead and treat yourself.

Great atmosphere and astounding food. Staff is professional, courteous and very attentive. Sunday brunch perhaps it's not as large as many people would think it should be, with tons and tons and tons of options... but the food that is there is remarkably good. Some main entrees are made on the spot for you ... like omelettes and Crepes. There is fresh eggs, bacon, sausages, a selection of roasted Meats and a  seafood salad bar regular salad bar.
 It goes on and on. 

The Elmhurst is beautiful even in the Stark of winter there is a beauty to it. Spring and summer and fall or even more so.... Booking for a wedding or a large family gathering would be improved by enjoying the Landscaping at the Elm Hurst Inn. I would give this six stars if there was some availability to do so.

I went for the grand seafood buffet that they put on twice a year. I was a bit underwhelmed. I had no issue with the quality of food, being served a half lobster was delightful, as many times as you want but I wish there was a bit more variety. They had cheeses, breads and fruit, fried haddock, lobsters but also had a type of curry along with several cold dishes for the seafood. It seemed like the real attraction was the lobster or the oysters. In the corner there was also a station that was just fried food (mushrooms or mozzarella sticks). This felt like a bit of an afterthought. The other confusing part was the dessert table was set up within another dining room. It felt like I was intruding on some guests experience. 

The quality of food was great but I think there could be a solution for the desserts, possibly a tray for each of the dining rooms? I'm not sure for the price I will be back for the seafood buffet, but am open to trying some of their regular features.
