I loved visiting the birthplace of Elvis. And it filled me with alot of happiness to finally do this. Don't expect to really love this experience, or walk away fully satisfied if your just an average fan. I'll start off with the best to worst about this. And it's because of the people running the grounds. The museum exhibit part is great. A hallway with some info and then a separate part that is more museum style. Not big but good. Gift shop has some decent stuff that wasn't over priced. The paths, statues, and info billboards are incredibly good. Elvis's actual house is authentic, but only everything attached is authentic. No furniture. And there is too much furniture in it that it's super tacky. I would've been way happier to see it empty. Or maybe one or two items. Not a bunch of junk that had no relevance to Elvis. I loved seeing it anyways though. They have the church Elvis went to. And they had a super weird(kinda creepy) reenactment video play for the viewers to see what church was like back then. It wasn't what I expected.

The museum is better than I remember it from last time. The birth house is worth a visit. The show that they do in the church is worth seeing. The whole visit is a little bit bizarre, especially when you see Elvis up on the TV singing look away, Dixie land. And all the white people in the museum are singing along. That was a little bit creepy.

Wish these places would stay open a little later for those of us passing through on weekdays and that still have to work. We arrived a couple minutes after they closed. We were able to look at the outside of the buildings and a very kind employee/volunteer(?) Gave us a map and explained the setup. We enjoyed our stroll through and reading the story wall.

Very cool place. The "Museum" is a few pics from a friend of the family in a short hall way you walk through to get to the theater and a 15 minute video in a theater room . I was disappointed. I paid close to 20 dollars to see the "Museum", Elvis's family home, and attend a mock church service in the church Elvis and his family attended(15 min). I feel like it was overpriced . But I do like Elvis and what they did have was interesting to see and read. The lady that sits in the Elvis family home was super sweet and very knowledgeable about the family and their home. I think she knew them and has lived in Tupelo her whole life. I enjoyed talking with her and getting to listen to her tell stories and facts about the Presley family.

Little known and talked about yet more information and insight to the man himself and life than anywhere else. Didn't know he didn't want a guitar. He wanted a rifle. His mom decided it was too dangerous and the option was the guitar so he got that! Close call fans. Didn't know he was a twin! So many quotes from his childhood friends there. You need to visit. Really MUST VISIT
