My daughter is 3 years old the first free trial that we took her in was stress out , shy and did not participate , but they give us a second change too bring her in, we spend time with her on the floor to get used to it an as soon she got it she was ready to keep going she just need it a little push and the instructor help her a lot , the staff is really nice , it is great place , we can watch what they do with our kids, the owner is a really good person, we will try to keep bringing our daughter to Emilias's place

Emilia's has been absolutely great. Far more than I expected when I started my daughter there. She did a year at another gym and didn’t learn much. Then we switched her to Emilia’s. For the first year she did general instruction. We saw big improvement in her abilities, and in her interest – never thought she would not only stick with it for that long, but love it. Now she has spent the last year in team training coupled with private instruction for tumbling. Everyone from the owner on down has been just fantastic. Whenever she had any problems, she can have someone give her the help she needs. Being in an environment with kids from all levels of abilities – from beginners on up to US National team members, has been really inspiring. The kids can see what their hard work leads to at every level. My 4 year old has also been going to classes and loves it. I strongly recommend Emilia’s.

The owner is very nice and assured me that my two children with adhd would be fine in the gymnastics class. He taught the class in the beginning and the kids loved it. He was firm but realize they were visual learners. Then the class was instructed by a lady and she bordered on being abusive. She would teach handstands without a wall for my 6 and 7 year old. They started getting injuries. My daughter has a sore knee and my son has a sore shoulder and wrists. She would let them fall over and she screamed every session. I told the kids to tell her if it hurt. They did and her response was , "I don't care...it is supposed to hurt." I finally asked the owner if he had told her about their disability. He assured me he did. Then the owner's son and her started and she yelled across the room, "I can not work with these kids!" I told the owner and he spoke with her & she apologized, but by this time my kids were scared of her and they did not want to return. It is a shame because they loved it when the owner was the instructor. If you want competitive cheerleading or gymnastics, it seems like it would be good. If you want your children to learn in a positive way, make sure you do not get this lady. Observe before you enroll.
