Very professional staff. It is well organized. The lady at the front is always nice! Never a long wait. It's clean in there too. They seem to have a no non sense for their students. I like that.  I like to see the instructors walk the floor. They are willing to give hands on instruction for their students if needed. I was able to meet a quite a few different stylist and instructors and they were all VERY nice and professional. 

Most prices you can't beat. You really can't get a better deal for what they charge not even your best friend that does hair. The negative reviews were jaw dropping. Hello people these are students. My only complaints with service is some students use too much heat. They should be required to use a standard flat iron or at least monitor the temperature. Every student uses something different for flat irons. Some students shampoo better than others. Other than that I had a cut, color, condition and trim. All went well. Their facials are great too! I really liked it. I can't wait to go back for another. The pedicure services was not worth it. I would recommend you pass until they fix their chair and lower the price. Students provide their own nail polish out their pocket so... Please bring your own polish. 

Hands down this is the best beauty school I've been to. I go every chance I get. I go in with the mind that these are students and mostly very young.

Some people complain about how their hair turned out, but you have to remember that this is a SCHOOL.  Most of the stylists are really good, and some are still learning.  To say that someone messed up your hair is kind of silly since you are only paying about $9.00 to get it done.  You pay that low fee to have them practice on your hair.  My hair looks great each time I visit.  What this school truly needs to do is to add more sinks and maybe get a bigger location.

This was one of my FAVORITE places to get my hair done. Recently they have made quite a few HORRIBLE changes.... First off The customers service is terrible . I ask a simple question the lady gave me nothing but attitude and rudeness. 

The last time I went the stylist Did not know how to comb hair I literally had the TAKE the comb form  her and do it my self . 
Prices went up quality service went down. 

Sometimes change is good , but this change is the worst thing empire has done. It saddens me this happen, because I know empire had so much potential to be the great salon it once was.

Staff are very unprofessional and they don't know the half about hair. How are you learning to do hair and about to graduate but can't do short hair? That's not a school I would waist my money on taking classes or getting my hair done at again.

Do NOT,  I repeat. Do, NOT go if hair care is important to you especially if  you have natural hair.  1st off, no heat protector/protectant is used at all. Your hair is treated as if you have a relaxer. When my hair was being blow dried,  she didn't even use the comb of the drier to detangle the hair. instead it was yanked through. I blame myself for sitting through the process of my hair being mistreated. To make matter worse, she was combing through my hair with a rat tail comb(google it)!! I told her not to use that in my hair. It fell on deaf ears.  An educator came by and I was telling her the issue, but it went through one ear and out the other.  It will take about 12mths for me to gain back what I lost.  Shame on me for staying that long. Yes, it's a school, but come on....smh.  I would recommend that they hire educators who have 4b/4c hair or those who know about proper hair care. In addition, they are practicing on dummies with European hair so how can they know how to handle hair of those who aren't? Think about it. I couldn't take it anymore and left. If hair care is important to you do NOT go. You have been warned.
