A nice place on Lake Washington for walking and looking at calm waters. During summer you can take kayak and park offers nice views and parking is easy with many streets around to park to. No commercial beach or shops there as it's small neighborhood park with great amenities. Will post pictures next time I go there...

Tiny park on the south east shore of Lake Washington, right next to, north of, the I-90 bridge to Mercer Island. Not much parking and hidden back through neighborhood roads. However there is a nice grassy area with a good jungle gym for kids, a covered picnic and BBQ area, a sandy beach with a roped off swimming area and a boat dock. The best part is the boat house where you can rent kayaks or canoes and paddle north along the shoreline to gawk and envy the beautiful water front homes; or head south and east, go under the I-90 bridge and head into the still waters of the Mercer Slough. We saw a bald eagle, herons and ducks, it was not crowded at all on a Friday afternoon in August.

Much has changed since I last visited (decades ago). It is now a very tidy clean beach park. int he summer time, there are two lifeguards, and if you can stand the I-90 freeway noise, you will be rewarded with a cozy place to worship the sun. Some unruly groups may be an eyesore, but live and let live. Parking can be a challenge at peak times, but okay for the most part. Little known, so if I had my rathers, I'd like to keep it that way, but I want to share with you. Good for swimming, canoeing and paddle-boarding. Wakes from boats come in often, as there is a boat launch across the way on Mercer Island, and the East Channel seems to be a favourite place to "punch it" with motor boats. DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS - there are signs that warn visitors, but so many people feed the cute ducks. It does more harm to them than good - please respect the rules.

Wonderful very emphasis on small quaint clean Beach area. You can lay in the sun, put your boat in the water, rent kayaks or canoes. Take lessons. Fish off the pier.

A good place to go on the week days but weekends are extremely crowded for such a small beach front area. The swim area is also pretty small. If you're looking for somewhere to float and relax, this is not the greatest place to go as the floaty and kid swim area are one and the same, as well as super small. If you're looking to go paddle boarding or canoeing this is a great spot to rent equipment from.
