We pride ourselves on providing the freshest fish and highest quality ingredients.
The Fish Shop first dropped anchor in Pacific Beach in 2010. Since then, we have built a reputation for providing our customers with the freshest seafood, complimented with outstanding service in a relaxed atmosphere that is both family- and dog-friendly.
So, why get hooked?
For starters, we pride ourselves on providing the freshest fish and highest quality ingredients. We hand-make all of our seasonings and sauces, and hand-cut our fries and onion rings daily. All of our soups and salads are also made from scratch.
Between our fish options, seasonings, styles and sides, there are over 2,000 combinations to choose from – there’s a sea of possibilities!
The fun starts when choosing from one of our daily selections of fresh fish paired with one of our eight seasonings and a choice of serving styles: tucked in a taco, as a sandwich, in a salad, or on a plate. Lunch and dinner choices can be prepared as lean or indulgent as one wishes, to suit every desire and taste.
For starters (or as a meal) we offer our tomato-based Fish Shop soup, our hearty New England-style clam chowder and a rich Fish Shop chowder. The traditional fish ‘n chips is fried, but can be grilled for a lighter option. Low calorie sides, such as our vinaigrette coleslaw, seven-grain steamed rice, and seaweed salad are always available. If it’s a cheat day, however, the house-cut fries, onion rings, or good ‘ol mac salad will always please.
Among our specialties is the award-winning TKO Taco. The Mahi-Mahi is marinated in our Fish Shop seasoning and topped with homemade mango salsa – a must! We also recommend The Ceviche offered with either mahi-mahi or shrimp, or a combination of the two. Top it off with a generous heap of creamy avocado and you will be hooked!
Our fast-casual environment is perfect for popping in for a quick lunch or dinner or unwinding with friends. Dine inside or al fresco on our cozy, well lit, heated patio. Enjoy one of the many local and California microbrew beers we offer, or choose from our selection of wine. For a $5 corkage fee, you can bring in your own bottle.
We’re close enough to the ocean to feel the sea breeze, but far enough to enjoy plenty of parking. You can’t miss us at the corner of West I Street and Highway 101.
If it’s your first time, welcome! We hope that you will come back. If you’re a regular, thank you for your support, and please feel free to let us know how we can continue to get better.
Thank you,
The Encinitas Fish Shop.
