The dogs are in cages all day unless played with. They also say the dogs have been out “too much” but many of the dogs want to play and or need attention.
Majority of the dogs are very unhappy because some breeds of dogs need to be let out and given lots of attention, but they don’t get played with as much as they need. I see some dogs just begging for attention or just to get out of their cramped up space which doesn’t always even have lights that they’re forced to be in until somebody decides to play with them.
Plus, they ship some dogs from out of state which is extremely stressful for the dog. Even if they have someone, you can’t really take out the stress the dog has to go through. 
In addition to that, I didn’t see them cleaning up dog waste at all. One of the puppies peed in their cage and was crying really loudly after, but the staff didn’t clean it.
What’s even worse, is the prices are insanely high. Which makes it a lot harder for them to even get sold. It’s even easier and cheaper to go to a breeder for a pure bred. Those dogs are usually happier and healthier in the long run. Or go to a shelter and adopt one. Adopting is a lot of more affordable, easier, and there are shelters that treat their dogs much better than Escondido Pets.
Finally, not all the staff are super great. Some were pretty rude and didn’t really do much for the dogs and people.

I have been there many times and they have the best dogs ever. Yes the prices are high but that is how people make money, also all the people saying save a dog and don’t buy from here you are just saying to not buy a dog, but you want to same them. That is stupid so story hating and help the dogs if you think something is wrong!!!

It stinks really bad in there like urine and feces. Most of the animals seem to be living in their own filth, and they don't know how to properly care for their animals.
The rabbits are in a horrible atmosphere and seem to have panic attacks often.

It only gets an extra star because the animals are cute and lovely.

If you love animals, especially dogs, please never buy from this store. They have the animals is small glass boxes all day, all night. The store stinks of piss and poop. They don't care who you are, as long as you have the cash to pay for the animal, they will sell to you.They could be selling an animal to a abusive home but they could care less. I believe adoption is the only way you should obtain animal to love and care for. To adopt they do home checks and background checks, they make sure the animal will be taken care of. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PET STORE - THEY GET THEIR PETS FROM PUPPY MILLS - THEY DONT LOVE ANIMALS _ THEY JUST SELL THEM. -------------- They must be paying Google for five star ratings because its disgusting seeing so many positive reviews about this place.... you people are disgusting if you truly enjoy seeing animals in tiny glass boxes

This place is absolutely terrible. NEVER BUY A PUPPY FROM HERE!! The dogs are sick and dying and eating their own poop. The dogs are extremely overpriced for puppy mill dogs. DO NOT support this horrible store. All the dogs are from puppy mills. You can buy a dog from a REPUTABLE breeder who is health tested and bred with temperament, conformation, and health in mind! Do your research! Buy a puppy from a reputable breeder with a pedigree and proof of health testing! This store is absolutely disgusting and all of these puppies have ZERO socialization! Buy a puppy from here if you desire to have a fearful sick genetic disaster for your family.
