Really upset/disappointed with this place.  Came all the way from Chicago to Nashville for our 5 year wedding anniversary to see our favorite band (a band who's show we actually met at) Delta Rae at the Exit/In.  

Upon entering I was told my 42 year old wife was not allowed to drink because her ILLINOIS Temporary License (while she awaits her formal license to be sent in the mail) was over 20 days old.  We had drinks prior at a restaurant down the street and also a bar next door with no problem. 

It was very upsetting to both of us especially and completely ruined what was suppose to be a memorable anniversary night in Nashville. I tried to see if they would work with us somehow but they refused stating it's the law (as if she's underage). 

They wouldn't even refund us our tickets.  Thanks Exit/In

If you like the band you'll have a good time. Bad bands here skew the rating downward quickly. It's small enough to chat with the people selling tshirts which sometimes the band members. Cans/bottles of beer are served for about $4-7 and really cramped nasty bathroom.

Legendary. Great space. Intimate. Sound is great. History. Easy to get around and get a drink. What more do you want or need out of a music venue?
