The formal dog park is pretty small, and not a lot to do. It does have a water fountain for the dogs. The trail is amazing! It was 1.6 mile for the loop, and there are several access points for the river. I love taking my dog here. The river is low right now so it is pretty tame. It is running at 556 cubic feet per second at USGS 06887000 BIG BLUE R NR MANHATTAN, KS. If you want to look it up online that will give you a reference. Even though it is low, there are still spots where the current is pretty stiff. I wouldn't recommend it for small dogs or little children.

Nice dog park. Nice water fountain for dogs and some seating. Big enough that large dogs can play but the small dog section was quite tiny. Nicely shaded and had baggies which I appreciated.
