Family Movers was amazing! I would absolutely recommend them for you next move. I had movers back out on me at the last minute and I called and scheduled a move with Nick at Family Movers THREE DAYS before I needed to be out of my apartment. I was so relieved that I had found a reliable group of people I could trust to make this process easier for me. Nick was professional, polite, and keep me informed and updated about everything. The crew he sent - Kevin and Owen - were so great! They were quick, careful, and so nice. It was clear they knew what they were doing and were only interested in ensuring I had the most efficient and stress-free move as possible. My move was extremely successful all because of Family Movers and Kevin and Owen. Don't hesitate to book this awesome moving company today!!!

It's possible to have a worse mover experience than I had with Family Movers Express, but it'd be tough. Nick at family movers was rude and unprofessional and I ultimately had to hire a different company on the same day. I booked family movers based on their high ratings but after my experience I believe the rating may be fraudulent. Full summary: Family Movers was scheduled to arrive between 9 and 11 am and told me they would call me in the morning to let me know when in that time frame they expected to arrive. 11:05: having never heard from them, I call the office and Nick tells me the truck has broken down and is now on its way back to the warehouse so they can change to a new truck. New ETA: 12:00. They'll call in a few minutes when they're on their way. 12:00: Try to call back, they stop answering the phone. Eventually get through on another number. Nick will not give me a new ETA. He then says, "You sound unhappy. Do you even want us to come today? Maybe you should find a different company." I tell him I obviously want them to come. He says he will call back. He never does. Eventually I have to cancel the move and book another company for the same day. Highly recommended avoiding this company if you want to actually move your belongings.

Family Movers kept my items in storage for 11 months from another moving company. I choose them because they offered better storage rates. By transferring to their facilities I apparently absolved them of all responsibility for damages. Items they were previously wrapped were delivered WITHOUT blankets, leaving me to question if they were also stored that way. A bed was transported and placed upside down leaving major damage on all 4 bedposts. This was pointed out to the delivery people, very easy for management to confirm. I documented a broken table I also noted they used tables to place heavy boxes on top of, thus putting undue stress on the furniture. After having paid them almost $4000 they apparently feel it is not in their interest to protect their reputation and ensure the good will of a customer to offer any compensation whatsoever. Nearly everything they delivered had damage. They did not call me back after photos were sent. Had to keep calling them for a status. It should be noted I took early delivery as a courtesy because they were losing their rented vault space, thus making me put everything in a temporary garage. If you want an ethical company I would recommend you look somewhere else.

WE JUST MOVED OUR OFFICE TO CHAPEL HILL FROM RALEIGH. THEY DID A PRETY GOOD JOB. OUR FILE CABINETS WERE VERY HEAVY BUT THEY HANDLED IT OK

These guys were great! Arrived early and friendly, Kevin and Eli were courteous and protected all our items. Will definitely use them again.
