Story

Our story takes us back to 1992, to a humble town in North Texas called Denton. It was here that a man named Marcus Watson had a simple dream, and together with a few buddies and a couple of Toyota pickups, the rich legacy that is Little Guys Movers began...

In 2012, it dawned on us — we had yet to explore the east coast. Hearing that North Carolina's capital was a good place to start, we caught the next flight out and spent several days in the City of Oaks trying to get a taste of the true Raleigh experience. What we saw was a thriving town that was rich in history and surrounded by other booming cities. The culturally-flourishing downtown, the music, the breweries (oh, the breweries!) ... needless to say, we got our ducks in a row and began the process of finding our next office space.

In the fall, we started taking interviews for potential managers at what quickly became one of our favorite hangouts — Natty Greene's Pub. It was there we met North Carolina native Greg Schmid, and he proved to be like-minded in the ways of doing a job right the first time. He was hired on as the manager for Little Guys Movers Raleigh, and several months later, early March 2013, we opened the doors to the shop. The beginning stages of opening a new store are usually a little hectic, sometimes a little scary, but always a thrill to look forward to. Here's to our future adventures in Raleigh.
