I love Famous Dave's and have had one decent experience here, but tonight was horrible. I'm a pretty reasonable person when it comes to dining out. We (party of 2) arrived at the restaurant at 7:40 on a Saturday night expecting to wait awhile for a table. We were told the wait time was 20 minutes, so we were expecting to wait around half an hour (knowing they usually underestimate the wait time). We were seated after 40 minutes, hungry but still willing to be patient. Our waitress arrived and took our drink order, then brought our drinks. She returned to take our food order, only then informing us that they were out of two menu items. A little disappointed, but recognizing that this was no one's fault, we ordered an appetizer and another drink (my partner had ordered a water and wanted to order another drink as well). We never received this drink, but we were also not charged for it. A few minutes later, we ordered our food. From this time, nearly 45 minutes passed before we received our appetizer, which came out lukewarm. During this time, we never saw our waitress and were unable to order refills on the drinks we had received. When our food finally arrived after 9:00, both our pork and chicken wings were COLD. Not like, they had cooled off a little bit cold. Like, cold to the touch cold. We were able to flag down a busy manager and asked for boxes. Even seeing that our plates were basically untouched, she didn't ask us if everything was okay, just brought the boxes and the check. Honestly, if any one of these things hadn't been SO horrible, I wouldn't be leaving this bad review. I understand the restaurant was busy, but really? I think the major issue is that the restaurant was understaffed. I left a note for the manager, asking her to pass our complaints on to corporate so that hopefully payroll can be increased and they can afford to have more workers during such a busy time of the week. I hope I can delete this review in the future, I really am a big fan of Famous Dave's. That's why I was so disappointed to have an experience like this.

Good location, parking lot isn't too large so you may have to park behind the restaurant and walk. Nice dining room atmosphere, bar area with good atmosphere as well. The place was clean, staff friendly. Acceptable beer selection available but I wouldn't go here for the beer anyway. It was all you can eat Rib Tips Thursday and a buddy and I ordered those. Portion sizes for ribs and sides were generous. They offer a variety of sauces some smokier, hotter, sweeter but all with the same base and a little on the saltier side. The waitress told us to just let her know when we wanted another serving of tips and then seemed to vanish for 30 minutes or so. The Manager Don came around to ask how we liked the food and when we told him the waitress hadn't been by he had us set up with another nice helping of hot ribs in less than 5 mins. Ok spot for ribs, good quality sides with right sized portions.

First time there, was real impressed. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. The decor is very nostalgic and fun to look at. Food was really great. Prices are reasonable. Will go again for sure.

Had the roasted chicken, it was great. Enjoyed the choice of many different sauces. Service was good too. No complaints!
