Yesterday would be the last time I deal with this franchise due to one employee.  I walk in to get another pair of shoes to match for photos and the one lady working wants to come over and pretend to do work in the area I was in so she can watch me. The older guy let's her know no their regulars she said oh  they are ,and goes back up to the register If you think I'm gonna take something I haven't paid for then let that be the last time you get my money I'll go elsewhere

Fantastic customer service! I was in the area for work training and wanted a pair of shoes I had seen on a colleague. After she gave me information about them and further investigation I found them on the Famous Footwear website and headed to my nearest store. 
A gentleman told me if I needed help to let him know. I showed him the shoes and told him I didn't see them in the store. He expressed that if they didn't have it that he could order them for me and have them shipped to me free of charge. To me this is a perfect fusion of being with the current times but still being able to give great face to face customer interaction. 
He also instructed me that once I receive my new shoes if I have any issues I can return at my local store for a quick turnaround. Absolutely great customer service and experience. I was able to leave happy I was getting what I was in search of and he was very patient with me. 
I'm very glad I stopped in. If they don't have what you're looking for totally have them order it for you!
