Story

Welcome to the Farmhouse! The Farmhouse Restaurant is one of Branson's favorite eateries where tourists and locals alike go for their favorite home-style favorites. Located in the picturesque Branson historic downtown area, the Farmhouse Restaurant offers hearty food that tastes like it was made in a real country kitchen. Enjoy the heaping platters of fried chicken, country-fried steak and buttery mashed potatoes. Of course, the Farmhouse offers great entrees, but their signature item is their blackberry cobbler.

When you've finished your meal, be sure to head upstairs and visit their gift shop. You'll find an amazing variety of unique home décor items and great gift-giving merchandise.

We went on the all you can eat butterflies shrimp, soup and salad bar night. Shrimp was great, salad was fresh and good selection of add ins. The soups was chicken noodle that night and I'm still dreaming about that soup! So good! Homemade noodles? White meat chicken, carrots and peas and chick full of savory, hearty flavor. Bottle it up and sell it! And the salt scrub in the bathroom was delightful! The location next to Dick's five and dime ( if they don't have it, you don't need it) makes it perfect. Reasonably priced too!

DELICIOUS sums it up!! My husband got the whole catfish, all you can eat, and my daughter and I got the roast beef. Both meals came with 2 sides and the salad/soup bar. Service was great and the whole meal came in at around 40. Not bad for 3 people and we did not leave hungry.

My wife and I couldn't decide where and what to eat our first night in town and then saw this place and decided to eat there since it was getting late and the little one was very hungry, but boy! Am I glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing. It wasn't only flavorful but it was cooked to perfection. I bought the two piece fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn with a large fluffy and soft flaky biscuit. I know that may sound generic but it truly was incredible home style cooking. You can tell everything was made from scratch, nothing frozen and the cook took pride in their food. The couple next to us told us they didn't want to bother finding another place to eat that night and that they were there earlier and had to come back to try something different. Even though we had to wait 20 minutes for the food to come out since it was busy, it was still piping hot. My wife absolutely loved what she ate as well. They have a wonderful sides list as well and we ordered the cinnamon apple for a side for our little one. My wife described it as eating Christmas. After our meal I sat there a moment trying to find something wrong with our experience there. Because in my 35 years I've never had a perfect dining experience. Especially one that only cost 35 dollars including drinks for a family of three. I thought about everything from service, the food, the cleanliness etc. I couldn't find one thing! I even noticed that the window overlooking downtown didn't have one little spot on it. The only thing I could come up with was that they didn't have diet Dr. Pepper so I had to settle for a diet Coke instead. But you know, first world problems. It will definitely be our little gem that we will eat at every time we come back to Branson.

I did not really want to eat here. It was busy, nothing sounded appealing, and my expectations were very low. That is until I took my first bite.The server was very prompt, and friendly. The chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and fried okra were 100% the best I have ever had anywhere. I WILL be back!

Excellent. I would give 10 star if I could. The food was delicious and very generous servings with very reasonable prices. The staff and service was top notch. I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to return.
