Welcome to Fazoli's fast, fresh, Italian restaurant in Des Moines, IA. Our Pasta and Sauces, Breadsticks and Salads are FRESHLY prepared throughout the day. Oven-Baked Dishes and Submarinos® are never baked ‘til you order them! The freshest pasta is here. Good food every time we go here. I recommend this restaurant anytime you are hungry for Italian.

The front counter staff was friendly, but short staffed. Female bathroom had a very bad odor as soon as I walked in it. Tried to tell front counter staff but was in kitchen area working. Someone in office area ignored me. Then lady that was sitting at a table with other employees came to see what my concern was. I told her, she we know working on it. I said should have a sign on door warning people.

I went in for lunch yesterday and my visit was chaotic. When I walked in, I was asked if I was there for the catering pick-up (which was sitting on the floor!). The place was pretty busy and the staff seemed overwhelmed. I ordered my food and was seated. As I was waiting for my food, I watched the sloppy staff try to get all the orders delivered. They would be walking around with platters of food randomly asking people if it was their order. Other customers were getting upset and were tired of waiting over 20 minutes. I noticed people getting up and getting refunded their money and leaving. Even two police officers had to leave before they got their food because they had been waiting too long! All but one staff member was ignorant and sloppy. I was watching the kitchen crew use poor hygiene and no gloves when preparing salads and the kitchen and lobby was disgusting. My lunch group eventually got tired of the terrible environment and got our money refunded as well. We stood in line for quite a while and got to listen to the crew yell at each other about all the wasted food. The management needs to get their stuff together! They need to fire almost all of the crew and clean the whole place. There was so many other small, disturbing details that deserve attending to. I am VERY disappointed in the disgusting way Fazoli's is being run. Do not waste your time or money!

Me and my friends had the worst service. Not a single person had their order right. They didn't offer us unlimited breadsticks. And the workers were rude.

No Stars!! Visit the Merle Hay one often, but the new team or recent team are disappointing Young and inexperienced. From taking my order, having it correct, fixing any issues like getting my order wrong, refunding double charges, etc. It was Bad!! Then, the follow up from my horrible experience Even worse. I'll never go back to this one and Possibly other ones. I'm a big firm believer is wherever you spend a Dollar you give it Power.
