The staff is friendly and we did the Kayaking trip for 4 hours (10 mile), but I was not happy about:
- nobody told us we would be going up stream the last 2 miles, so pedaling was a bit of a challenge at the end having my kid in the tandem kayak.
- the pick up van at the end of the trip had only the driver in it, so if we refused to help him load the kayaks, we'd be sitting ducks waiting for help. So basically, were weren't given any options there and had to help.
- we were told the pick up would happen at 4pm sharp and when we got there at 3:40, waited until 4:05 and called office, we were told that the driver would arrive at between 4:15 and 4:30. Great... at least an apology would be nice... it sounded like normal process of lying to customers to make sure they spent their time efficiently.
- when the van finally dropped us off, 2 blocks away from the office and not where we were originally picked up, he again "nicely' asked us to carry life jackets to office (not only ours).

We didn't do anything difficult, but I wouldn't call this top notch service because they automatically assumed help from their customers and didn't warn about the up-stream trip last 2 miles. Beware.

Rented 2 kayaks for Trip 1. Staff was fantastic and rentals were in great shape!  The trip was supposed to be 2 hours however this river is so slow moving and the wind was blowing up river so it was MUCH more paddling required than I thought. It ended up taking us 3 hours. I thought it would be mostly steering with the paddles with the river moving us down. Not the case. If we weren't actively paddling propelling ourselves down river we were almost stationary with the wind. My wrists and arms are quite sore. We had a great time-but the last half hour was rough for me since I'm so out of shape.

I have been renting boats from Deb when taking out groups bigger than my fleet can support.  Good equipment and Deb has been always helpful.  I don't know what led to the negative comments but some people are difficult to please.  And unfortunately they are also the people who complete these reviews.

Awesome place to take the kids for an easy kayaking experience!! Great people and amazing customer service!! Been going here for years ever since we found this little gem!!

I have been on 3 trips and all have been great thanks to the staff at Fever River Outfitters. They have all been friendly and courteous and accommodating.
