My favorite bike shop has been closed so now this one takes the top spot. Staff is knowledgeable and always helpful, cool old building. Fair prices. Right on the bike trail is perfect, you can even rent bikes. I love Jeff's involvement with local events and trail building. Much respect goes out to him.

I have bought... wow seven bikes from this shop. I live in the city and I made the trip to get my and my girlfriend's commuter here. Then when mine got stolen, I got another from here. I do a lot of racing and I buy all my high end frames and gear from MSB, as well. Jeff, Vince, Tyler and crew have seen it all and done it all, so there is really no better resource in the Chicagoland area. Further, Main Street has a large impact in the Dundee/Carpentersville area by promoting trail building initiatives, contributing to charities, supporting Rotary and even hosting local races. It is a great shop but also a keystone of the community and I am super grateful they're always there to fix up my bikes!

Main Street Bicycles has excellent customer service!  I went in and worked with the owner to find the perfect bike for me.  I explained what I wanted and ended up purchasing the first bike that I was shown.  They attached all accessories and made sure that everything was perfect before I left the store.  I highly recommend purchasing a bike or coming in for service!

Best bike shop around. Jeff and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn't think of getting service or buying a new bike from anywhere else in the area.
