Very good food and great cocktails made enjoyable dining experiences. Breakfast is open too late for early working professionals but lunch and dinner are good. Very convenient if you are working or staying in the area.
If I could give this place more stars I would. We spent 3 nights at the Axis Hotel where the Syndicate is located. We sampled some particularly delicious craft cocktails and enjoyed an absolutely delicious supper there. The bartender extraordinaire, Brian, was our self-appointed personal host, which made the experience even more noteworthy. He is knowledgeable about every aspect of the establishment, observant of his guests, and quick to offer recommendations.
Split the French mussels, had the tuna steak, the person I was with had Frutti De Mare, and we each had a cocktail. French Mussels were excellent, Frutti de Marre was more butter than pasta to the point it was inedible, and Tuna Steak and mashed potatoes were really good. Brussel sprouts were super chewy/not cooked all the way through. One cocktail was good the other one tasted like pure lime juice. Overall, for $50 a person/$60 with tip, kinda disappointing such a significant portion of the meal was too gross to eat. Service and atmosphere were good.
Food is quite good & large portions. Bar is nicely stocked. The goat cheese terrine is the bomb. Comfortable place for townies to hang out.Recommended dishesSeared Salmon, Fried Brussel Sprouts and Madame Croque Monsieur
Had a great time at the Syndicate! Very beautiful and upscale without feeling uninvited. Love the menu on a "newspaper" with the history of the building. Our server Kayla was happy which makes the drinks and food taste even better! On Sunday we also had a very nice server at the brunch and it was delicious! Thank you for making our visit memorable. Looking forward to coming back
I CANNOT BELIEVE THE TREATMENT WE GOT HERE, on TOP of them being SHORT STAFFED!! Invited @ last min to the NYE Great Gatsby Party. I’m so glad I went! It was absolutely a blast! These days it is so hard to find great food, live music, prices that are fair, great customer service, & a great atmosphere that is clean. Usually you pick the establishments that will at least have 2 or 3 at best of those qualities in one place. Well we received nothing but first class treatment! Our waitress Isabelle was perfect! Never had to ask for anything, checked on us w/o getting over attended to, was very professional, kind, and knows her craft! The food is nothing less then delicious. Yummy appetizers that are right up my alley, light meals, fancy meals, & everything in between with out getting overwhelmed by a huge menu. I will absolutely be back & recommend this restaurant 110%! Actually if you go, please invite me! I am also planning on having a few get to-gathers here in January. Did I mention they had LIVE MUSIC!!! My FAV!!!
This was a gem and a delight on our stay in the beautiful Axis Hotel. We typically find hotel restaurant to be adequate but not stellar. We had a 5 star experience from the atmosphere, the decor, the staff and the food. Diverse menu and very tasty dishes. The goat cheese appetizer with roasted red pepper, walnut & chives was fantastic!!! Macaroni & cheese always seems odd as an entree but my partner ordered and was probably the best I have tasted! If you are a visitor to the hotel I would highly recommend and if you are a local to the area I hope you have discovered this option in your neighborhood!
We had the sliders, very tasty, perfect app to split. We also loved our cocktails. The bartenders were very professional and attentive but not overwhelming. The atmosphere was cozy, we liked the comfy chairs at the bar. Hard to move around, like maybe there was one too many however. I would highly recommend it to locals and travelers alike. Will return!
My first visit…kinda sorry it took this long because these folks opened JUST before the pandemic. The guy who greeted us was very cool, very helpful. We found the atmosphere to be very pleasant. Our waiter Michael was one of the most professional servers I have met and I’ve visited over 35 countries. Loved the menu…wide variety. Prices seemed reasonable. Our meals were fantastic. My wife had the Frutti di Mare and she loved it. Our guest had the blackened Tuna salad and she RAVED about the way the tuna was seasoned. I had the seared Salmon and it was prepared perfectly. All three dishes were very plentiful, and we’re definitely going back. Great food, great service, comfortable atmosphere…doesn’t get any better than that!
Great little restaurant! The food was delicious, especially the cauliflower dip, and the service was great despite seeming a bit short staffed. Atmosphere is upscale but there are a wide range of meal prices so 5th Ave Syndicate would be a great choice for any occasion. Update: Always delicious and the staff are amazing!
