I used to love this pet store, despite the bad smell and apparent lack of cleaning, they had very nice, tame pets. But the most recent gerbil we bought from them was infested with bird mites. We didn't realize what the issue was until our house was swarming with them and all our kids covered in bites. I will be avoiding this store like the plague. I would not wish this hell on my worst enemy. Bird mites are horrible.

Enjoyed the visit. They had what I needed for all size feeders live and f/t. Great service! I' m glad it's near me rather than some of the other stores because their selection was much much less. Beautiful fish.

Amazing prices and very helpful staff that actually know a lot about your pets needs. Highly recommend this place over any pet shop.

These folks were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.  I enjoyed the experience there and will continue to travel there for all my purchases.   Much better than the big chain stores in Des Moines IMHO.
