I can see why their closed. I brought 2 bikes in for tune-ups and new tires on one of them. They didn't put the correct tire on the back of mine, so I had to come back another day after they changed it. When I got it back home, the steering head bearings were loose, kickstand was loose, nothing was lubricated on the bike as well as on the other one I had previously brought home. I called them twice and never heard anything back from them. I could have done all this stuff myself, but I wanted to give a local business the work. I ended up doing it all myself anyways. When I got to my destination, neither one of the tires they put on had enough air in them to ride the bike. I had to go to another bicycle shop and have them air them up for me before I could even use them. They didn't fix the lever for the rear de-railer that was bad either. Lot of money for nothing. Very poor service.

First City Cycles is nowhere near where I live but on 2 separate occasions, I found myself at this store, needing some work to be performed on my mountain bikes. On both occasions, the knowledgeable, friendly staff were very accommodating. They showed me the work they were doing and explained it to me, while I watched. They were down to earth and very fair with their service prices. I will definitely use them for future repairs!

The location has been a lifesaver on a couple of occasions. I take my kids across town on long bike rides, and this bike shop has been open and well-stocked with emergency repair parts and tools. It feels like a smallish shop, but they have a lot of inventory, and it is well organized. The prices for parts and pieces are reasonable, and each time we stop in, there are at least 3 employees available to help.

I am new to this area and since i dicovered First City Cycles it is now my local shop for part and service. We even bought a new bike there last year at christmas. friendly staff and great selection.

First off, I would never use the words "loved it" for any business. They have a lot of bikes and parts. The mechanic will talk your ear off but he is fast and knows bikes. I was happy with the work and prices. Don't think they even charged me for labor. Nice store.
