Great atmosphere, the "B" loop campsites are nestled among the trees and come with a fire grate and picnic table. Kids loved running through the trees at the campsite (outside loop "B" sites). "B" loop also offers access to the Rocky point trail along lake McDonald and sites 79 through 91 (odd numbers only) are close enough to a creek that you get the calming sound of running water. Showers are available in "A" loop. Sites are relatively level with no hookups. I was able to pull a 28 footer through with no problems. Don't know what loops "C" and "D" are like. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing camp ground all nestled in the tall trees by McDonald Lake, which is from camp site loop D (which is we're I stayed), a less than a 4 minute trail away. There are a few trails leading out from the campgrounds too. There is only one shower location (loop A) but ever loop has bathroom facilities. This is bear country, so be bear aware with food and trash.

Sites were nice, very small for an average RV. Biggest complaint is the shower facilities, definitely not adequate for the number of campsites. Some people were bathing in lake, noticed waterfront cloudy with soap. Great location, friendly rangers and camp host. We left early because of the shower situation and stayed on the east side at the koa for the remainder of our trip.

Tent camped with wife and 2 small children in Loop B. Nice level spot for fairly large tent. In the woods but a short walk from the lake shore and walks to beautiful views. It's s short drive to Apgar where you can park your car and take advantage of the free shuttle to on Goin over the Sun Road. Showers in Loop A are good but hit or miss with heat. It gets cold at night and in mornings so bring warm clothes and sleeping bags.

Super quiet. Great facilities. Warm showers and friendly staff & volunteers. A little tight for larger RV's. Our 33' 5th wheel was an adventure to get into place; but certainly worth the effort. Well situated close to great hiking and biking.
