Whitefish / Kalispell North KOA Holiday

Story

As busy as this majestic corner of Montana gets during the summer travel season, you'll feel like you're staying in your own private little hideaway at this plush campground. Sprawling across 33 acres of a secluded, forested valley, it's a mere 24 miles from Glacier National Park and a short drive from Whitefish and Kalispell. This KOA is renowned for its huge playground. It also features an adults-only hot tub, a game room, free mini golf, free fun-bikes, petting zoo, walking trails and free paddleboats for cruising the pond. There's even a free Frisbee golf course. Enjoy Buffalo Bob's Family Entertainment Center- a restaurant serving pizza, sandwiches, salads, nightly barbecue and free continental breakfast in summer-along with an indoor / outdoor swimming pool. Hosts can help you arrange for Glacier Park tours and airplane and helicopter rides.

Early season conditions mean snow wasn't great. Views were phenomenal. Overall it's a great town and great mountain.

This is a nice KOA and the staff is real friendly. The camping spots are clean and the campground itself is clean and you also feel safe here. They have a small restaurant Buffalo Bob's where you get free breakfast in the morning that is good and they have other items for lunch and dinner that we did not try. The campground has lots a trees but I had no trouble navigating my 42 ft 5th wheel through the park. Each site also has a fire pit at it. There is a pool, Putt Putt golf, game room, and bikes for the kids. I would recommend this KOA if your in the area

Lots of amenities, exposed and few tent sites. Good for exploring glacier/whitefish during the day and camping at night.

Free breakfast lots of fun activities for kids and adults. Pool was nice. Clean bathrooms and present staff made for a relaxing camping/RV site. Wi-Fi was lacking in broadband but that is common in many RV parks. Cell service was little to none but it is whitefish so that is common all around the lake. Might as well go explore.

This wasn't the best campground I have stayed in, but it was the priciest by far. Today it is 82.00 a night, but when we stayed we got a bargain price of 79.00. It is a very nice place with things to do for the kids, however we would have stayed for more than 2 nights if the price wasn't so ridiculous. The next highest price I ever paid was 52.00 in Arizona and it was nicer than the Whitefish KOA. I didn't look, but I suspect that they are the only decent campground in the area and the monopoly is why they can demand such a price. (The short camping season makes me think that they have better pricing in the off season.)
