Great food - less than mediocre service.
I'm in North Miami on business and asked a local associate for a quiet low key place to have dinner . He suggested I try Flashback Diner.
I was seated promptly. The waitress was busy chatting with the other waitstaff about the upcoming uniform change and I got the 'hold on a moment' finger when I looked around to find someone to take my drink order.
She was cheerful enough taking my coffee order, but dropped the cup on the table along with the sweetener and creamer and walked away.
When I placed my food order and asked for an ice water, it appeared  but I didn't feel like asking her to her back for a straw as she walked away again. 
My food was delivered the same way. I was going to ask her to add toast, but once again she walked away before I could get a word out.
The coffee was fresh and good, the waffle, bacon and eggs were perfect. 
She was ready to go home, announced it to the other waitstaff several times and I was the unfortunate target of her frustration. 
Would I return next time I am down this way?  Possibly. I would not be seated in her section again.

This place is disgusting. From appearance to management. I was waiting for my baked potato that's all and it took over 30 minutes from when I got my food which had sweet potato on the plate. My server wasn't even around I had to have the cashier do it and get us refills even getting us straws , her name was Rochelle (crazy how we know her name and not our servers) and she should've honestly been our server , because after a while I didn't even want our server anymore we just asked her and tipped her twice in the end , went back recently and asked for her as well... too bad they let her go she was better than half those servers. Mind you all this was happening while the manager was doing nothing. I have no reason to go back if that's how their service is.

I go to Diners all across the USA and this is good. The food is tasty tthe choices unlimited and the vibe super cool!
On a historic note this used to be a Lums but its way better!

Food was delicious. Service on the other hand was awful. I'm not sure if our waitress forgot to put our order in or what, but I saw people sit down after us and get their food before us. Once our food arrived (two kids pancake meals and one adult breakfast) the adult order was wrong. It took them two minutes to fix, which was great, but also made me wonder what took so long the first time?

Interesting menu with lots of selection. A superb diner. We've never had anything bad here!
