My wife and I just had our anniversary dinner here. The entire dining experience was simply perfect. The food was phenomenal. You could truly taste the difference between the beef raised on their farms and any other restaurant. All the food was brought out in a timely manner. The decor was very well appointed. Our waiter, Eric, may have been the best part of the dining experience. He was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the meal. The entire experience made our first anniversary one to remember.

I was hugely disappointed with this restaurant. I found the service to be inattentive and dismissive. When I asked for a second wine list for our table of 6, I was informed that they didn't have any more. The building was 30% full at the most. The food is locally sourced and seems of a high quality. However, my feeling is that I can cook high quality food at home. I come for the food and service. I found the management unsophisticated and/or poorly trained, and the servers suffered from lack of direction.

Given the general MO of this restaurant and the quality of its food, one would think that it would be far more popular than it is. In case you didn't know, (because their entire staff will tell you) Adena Grill and its accompanying more casual restaurant Frankie's Sports Bar both supply all of their ingredients from Adena Farms, an entirely grass-fed 90,000 acre ranch in Ocala, Florida. I suppose the lack of popularity plays on both sides because its quiet ambiance does wonders for the atmosphere, while at the same time making you think, "why aren't there more people here?"

One of the reasons quite possibly being the price. Things here aren't exactly for the financially challenged. This isn't to say things aren't worth their price, both myself and the guests that accompanied me were extremely content with the food and the wine. The level of expertise here is far and away a step above the typical steakhouse. And it is that same expertise that extends to the servers who function as sommeliers for those who aren't the best with deciding wines. 

Adena Grill is a place to go when you want a more refined steakhouse experience, and I feel confident in that I will not go here and have a bad encounter when I come back.

The place was absolutely horrendous. The only saving grace was a pretty decent waiter. Went dor Miami Spice and I will not be back. 

Mac and Cheese took "al dente" to a new level... it was not cooked. 

Plates were piping hot, however the food inside was tepid. 

I asked for a cranberry and coconut rum... they gave me some dark drink and demanded it was what I asked for... (This is the only drink I ever have🤦🏾‍♀️) finally they took it back (Not without trying to make me think I was crazy)  and brought the correct deink. 

Next my mothers, food came out completely burned! And we just couldn't take it anymore we said we are out of here...

Not before the manager came with a bill🤷🏽‍♀️ A bill for what $40.00 for what? The drink I ordered, and the one they "Fixed" for me that I didnt order... and not sure what else... are you kidding me? Oh mam sorry let me fix that for you... brings back another receipt for $11! Are you kidding me ... then after I shake my head, he says oh nevermind just go! I tip the waiter a $20 and hit the restaurant next door! 

I will not return, nice ambience, nice waiters... but COLD and BURNT food🤔

We dined here yesterday evening for my cousin's birthday. Beautiful lighting, decor and atmosphere as well as gorgeous wall to wall paintings and floral arrangements. However, the restaurant was so warm our ice water instantly became room tenperature and i found myself sweating. We chose to go with the Miami Spice 3 course meal. I chose the Petit Filet for my entree and asked for it MEDIUM WELL, which i know isnt the best way to enjoy a filet but it's my personal preference. Our waitress came up to me shortly after i ordered and claimed the chef suggested i have my filet butterflied as it would ensure a "juicy" steak. I received my steak....practically burned to a crisp as shown below. Im not sure why the chef plated the filet this way and didnt just prepare another. I suffered through it as i didnt want to cause any delay or ruckus as it was my cousin's birthday. I hope someone from Adena addresses this matter and see's to correcting these issues. I can deal with heat and warm water but we it not for the burned steak i wouldve enjoyed myself much more and likely would have returned to this restaurant but unfortunately this was my experience.
