The people that work in the immunizations office are SO RUDE!!! The woman at the front seat flat out told me she is too busy to answer the phone which is why I couldn't get through yesterday to make sure they received the fax for my children's medical records from the previous state we lived in. Then she gave me an attitude because she didn't answer the phone yesterday so she had no clue about the fax anyway. This place is ridiculously unorganized

With a family history of reproductive system problems such as cancer and cyst I found it necessary to take birth control at a younger age. I started taking the birth control pill around seventh grade I am now 18 and wanted to try different method. I came to the health department back in April to get the Nexplanon implant into my arm. With the implant it takes about 3 to 6 months for your body to get used to it, within three months I've been having terrible side effects, haven't been able to walk at work because of my cramps I've been having more than one menstrual cycle month and cystic acne that is not only physically traumatic but also painful. I came to the health department to see if I could get the implant take out of my arm because it is putting me in so much pain. Regardless of the price I do not want something in my body that is hurting me. The doctor REFUSED multiple times to take the bar out of my arm regardless of me telling her the side effects it was giving me and said that I haven't given it enough time. Although I understand that bodies take a while to get used to new things, the pain that I am in is not worth the $800 at the implant would have been if I hadn't of gone to the health department. The health department is a privilage for those who can't afford the prices for higher priced medical expenses that I take full advantage of but when there's something in my body that is putting me in crippiling pain I should have the choice to have it removed from my body. The doctor began to say "do you understand how expensive this is, you were begging for me to put it in and I'm not taking it out" then when I proceeded to explain more about how I wanted it out she said fine I will take it out but not today because you haven't given enough time. I find it extremely unprofessional to invalidate a patient. I told her I was having terrible reactions to the bar and she told me "no you're not". I will be taking further actions and going to another doctor to have the implant removed.

So unprofessional. The wait was well over an hour (with appointment) and nobody was in the office. I had the joy of listening to the check in ladies talk poorly about their corworkers and wanting to fight a certain woman they work with. I get that this is a low income health clinic but I was highly disappointed in the behavior of staff and how little they cared about the people coming in here. How is the state still funding this??
