I have visited this place since I was a little kid...spent summers there as a volunteer, etc. Love it! The butterfly rain forest is great, but not always worth the money if you have small children who won't want to spend much time in there. Visit the free exhibits with them!

The main museum is FREE. I really enjoyed the displays. Spent probably 2 hours there. I understand the butterfly pavilion costs some extra, but they happened to be closed when I got there because of a rare freeze that made them scramble to protect the butterflies. Oh, and there are 2 electric vehicle charge stations in the parking garage and I was told you don't need a university parking pass to use them.

This place is simply magical. I can’t get enough of the exhibits and the way everything is laid out. I absolutely had a blast in the Butterfly Rainforest and got some stunning pics throughout.

I have visited the museum at least 15 times over the years and every time I go i find something new and fascinating. The butterfly rain forest is exquisite unless it is very cold or raining hard ... when the butterflies and birds are hiding.

There is always something fresh and interesting to see here with special events in collections being featured multiple times a year it is the gateway to the Natural History of Central and Northern Florida and well will taking the time to go and see. No special reservations on needed during normal business hours however if you are attending one of the special events you will need to purchase tickets in advance
