Quaint little town full of antique shops.  Filming site for Doc Hollywood.  Nice locals.

Such an interesting place to visit. Micanopy is full of history and such a beautiful place to see.

This museum is like a rare unpolished diamond tucked away on the edge of Micanopy. It houses a treasure trove of historical items and a complete archive of the history of the area going back hundreds of years. Several books have been written from the material stored there. Pulitzer prize winning author, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, came to this building to use the phone before it was a museum. Well worth having a look around if you visit the town of Micanopy.
