Just Basics Inc. (JBI) was founded in 2012 by a group of dedicated citizens and volunteers. JBI is the parent 501c3 organization of the MFP and the senior meal program, FEAST, a three-way partnership of JBI, the City of Montpelier and a for-profit company, Good Taste Catering. JBI administers and manages programs that work within the greater Montpelier area to address the basic food and nutritional needs of our most vulnerable citizens.
On average in 2012 and 2013, the MFP provided 72,000 meals to 1,530 households; 3,700 people in total of which 1,000 were children.
