Generally helpful staff. Okay shoe selection, but could be better. I would like to see more brands. Prices are usually average for what I can find online. Probably the best stop in Sheridan for shoes.

They wrap the shoes for you. Very friendly service. Lots of shoes. Prices are not the most competitive.

In January I visited Foot Of The Big Horns looking for dress boots.  Upon entering the store all of the clerks were extremely friendly and treated me as if I mattered.  There was a wide variety of boots to chose from and they were all displayed in a neat and orderly fashion.  Infact all of the shoes are displayed in a neat and orderly fashion.  I tried on probably 8-10 pairs of boots that day and the clerk who waited on me was always friendly, and very, very helpful.  I ended up buying 2 pairs of dress boots and a pair of snow boots.  I was so impressed with my buying experience I went back two weeks later and purchased another pair of boots.  Sadly after I got the boots home and tried them on a couple of times I decided I really didn't care for them.  Now I'm one of those people that would rather walk on hot coals rather than return anything.  So it was a great deal of dread that I took my boots back for exchange or credit.  When I walked in I was once again greeted by extremely friendly clerks.  I walked up to the register and explained to the clerk that I didn't like the boots.  To my surprise she said with true conviction "no problem, go look and see if there is something else you like and if not we'll give you credit".  I looked but didn't find any boots I was really interested in.  I asked if the pair I had bought on my first visit came in another color and the clerk not only searched all of her catalogs but she got on the internet as well to see if  she could find the boots I wanted.  She told me she would try to order them and that I was under no obligation to purchase them when they arrived.  I couldn't believe it!!!!!!!!!  It's been a long time since I've had such an encounter at a retail department store.  Am I impressed?  You bet I am!  Have I told others about my great experience?  You bet I have!  Will I continue to shop there?  You bet I will; it will be the first place I look when I need to purchase shoes.  Thank you Foot of The Big Horns for a great shopping experience.  Keep up the good work.
