Delicious pizza. They have this one pizza with spicy sausage and Brussels sprouts, but the heat is cut with a light drizzling of honey. It's pretty amazing. Then they have this one with truffle oil and mushrooms. It's an adventure for the taste buds! And if you happen to be around during the daytime, the lunch special of a pizza + salad for $14 can't be beaten!

I came here for an early dinner on a Wednesday evening with my 8-year old son. The place was empty. Service was extremely slow. It took over 15-minutes to get our drink order in. The server appeared to be very indifferent about our presence there. She walked away from us when I was telling her what I wanted. I did get the impression that we were unwelcome. My son is really well behaved, but I do like to get in to restaurants early before the crowds start rolling in. The pizza was good, but not great. The red sauce was very runny and it was messy to eat. As a tourist in NYC, I would not recommend going out of your way to eat here. The atmosphere was really the only positive.

This place is spacious and the service is friendly. Now for the good part- the pizza is perfect. This is thin crust, wood fired pizza. I visited Fornino with my sister and nephew who live in Italy and has high standards. They loved it and said it compared with true Italian pizza. The meatballs are bigger than golf balls and served in a light sauce. They are soft and well seasoned. The only downside is there were only 3 to a serving. We ordered the Farro salad which had a little too much farro and not enough greens. We also ordered the arugula salad which had a light balsamic dressing that allowed the flavor of the greens to stay perky and not wilt. The pork sandwich was a star as well. Great place to eat!

I love this place even when they were in Bedford ave location. Love their brickoven pizza. Their salads are awesome. However, meatballs are a bit too seasoned now. Service is very nice.
