We live here,  very cheap for renting a spot,  none nosey neighbors. Only thing I don't care for is when it rains,  you're needing to avoid mud that's everywhere.

I went there for a weekend in June of 2015. It was to get away for the weekend and have a little party for my 76 year old dad and my 3 year old son there birthday are on the same day. Well needless to say I ended up staying there for the season. And I am back for the 2016 season too. The owner is great he is letting me have a party for them again this year in the pavilion. Russell and his crew will do what they can if you end up with a problem with camper or if anything is wrong with your sight. They have bingo just about every Saturday. Holiday weekend has an band or a dj come in and play music. Small playground for the children to play. And it's a nice place where kids can be kids and everyone watches out for the children my son turned 3 and this happened to just about every Parent he was there one minute and took off the next my heart dropped I started running around looking for him and he was in the office with Russell. And this year my son calls Russell his best friend bc of many reasons. It's a Quiet and nice for a family weekend away.  Yeah sure some people live there but I know for sure it is a start for some people. They might have lost there houses or apartments but for some it's for older people who has retired and was traveling the world and desided that that was a nice place to settle down in. Ok I spoke my mind about the place and said what I needed. Oh one more thing I love the place there and I will be going and hope someday my kids will too.

Ft. Boone is a great place to go camping.  It doesn't have all the amenities like a larger campground with swimming pools and such but close to the river for boating and fishing.  The cost is much less than other places and the owner, Russel, is a great guy!  The staff there will help you back in to sites and definitely makes it a point to come around and make sure your stay is going well. 
There's some great nearby restaurants, shopping and plenty of other things, like Knoebels Park as well.
I've been going there for nearly 15 years and looking forward to many more
