Very limited hours, Thurs-Sat. There is not much of the original fort left you can see. The museum is a recreation of the officer's quarters, which is wooden and nicely done. There is stuff to play with. You can put on a period dress or a period cavalry uniform. I am hoping they will be able to refurbish the building across the street (formerly part of the fort) and add to the museum complex.

The fort and the park are wonderful! I took my kids there all the time. I still enjoy walking around especially in the spring when the baby ducklings hatch. Would have given 5 stars but the gopher holes have gotten so bad. Watch your step, ankles beware. Otherwise it's a clean beautiful park with walking paths, playground equipment, tennis courts, wide open spaces and a museum where you can learn about some of Tucson's history.

Nice lil museum with expert (and super nice!) Docents. Only takes 30 minutes or so to explore unless you partake in any activities they have going on. Admission is free, though donating a few bucks will help them out! Well-behaved pets are also welcome.
