I really do enjoy the Fort Worth Zoo. It is a great place to bring the family and get together with friends. They have a very rustic setup and it seems very homely. I strongly suggest bringing your own food because the cost can be high and the lines can be long. Definitely plan on doing a decent amount of walking as the zoo is fairly stretched out. There is not a lot of cover so make sure you have plenty of sunscreen and water. Wednesday is half price which is a great value and if you really want to go the extra quarter mile there is free parking nearby. There are plenty of activities for young and old. If you live here or are visiting Fort Worth I strongly suggest making this a stop on your itinerary.

Wonderful zoo that I have ever visited. They got plenty of wild animals which I saw for first time in my life. I got chance to see White tiger. I also saw lions and many other African animals. It was the zoo which I was wondering to visit since 3 years. I went from Houston to visit that zoo. You need to give your all day and you can get satisfied. It was really managed very well. We were lucky to see white tiger very close in the window. It was a-bit scary. Allover, it is the wonderful place to visit. You can enjoy your family time by visiting this zoo. Your money is worth it on this place. Have a wonderful time in this place. Thank you 😊

This is such a fun place. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. I’m glad much of the zoo’s efforts are towards conservation. Spent the whole day here and could have stared at the lions for even longer. This zoo had no shortage of attractions and had so many different types of animals. I also really liked how close you could get to some of the animals. It added to the experience quite a bit. Definitely a place to bring the family on a weekend.

We visited Ft Worth Zoo yesterday. We were excited to purchase memberships because we read a lot of good reviews and saw that it's ranked number 5 in the nation. We were greatly disappointed by what we saw at the zoo. Giraffes, tigers, lions, rhinos, elephants, hippos, lemurs and some other animals had very small spaces to roam around. Dallas Zoo, for instance, has much bigger territories for animals. All rhinos and lions looked malnourished and were barely moving. One rhino had a bloody wound on his right hip. My family was very sad to see animals in bad conditions like that. We had to cancel our memberships and changed it to a one day visit. Ft Worth Zoo, please treat animals better and provide them with bigger land!

It was definitely preseason when we brought my 15 month old baby girl and my 16 month old nephew, but!!! They LOVED IT!!!!!! Being able to see the animals up close on some occasions and others “monkeying”around (the baby chimps) made both babies laugh!!! Will definitely bring the kiddos back when it’s more in season!!! Thank you for a great adventure!!
