Slowest service ever. It was a Wednesday night didn't think we would have a problem getting food service. Felt so sorry for the people behind us came in after us and ordered salads and had to wait longer then us for food. Put our name in at 6:21 was told would be 20 minute wait (no problem). Was about a 20 minute wait, got seated, wasn't even asked what we would like to drink had to ask waiter if they even sold fountain drinks, we ordered right away but waited forever for the food. Around 8:00 we got our appetizer. Then about 20-30 minutes after that we got our meal. That wasn't all that impressive after we got. Waste of my time should have ate my leftovers at the condo. Our drinks were empty several times and never filled (bad experience).

First of all, food was terrible and expensive. Okay now that that’s out of the way, this entire establishment is also seemingly racist, bigoted and PROUD! Welcome to West Virginia everyone. I really wanted to think this stuff didn’t exist in 2018 in America anymore, but way to prove me wrong. That’s what you get for living in the DC bubble of love and acceptance. My husband and I were with our white friend. My husband and I stood up front at the bar trying to get a drink for THIRTY MINUTES where both the sad sad looking bartenders purposely ignored us and only served the white people around us (we were like we’re thirsty and we got this so our friend stayed behind us). We finally turn to our friend with a “help us” look, he makes eye contact with the bartender ONCE and - by God, magic, he got to order a beer and had to FORCE them to acknowledge us and finally reluctantly serve us. Hey half brained inbreds, my dollars equal just as much as everyone else’s so at least pretend you want it. Honestly, your fear of anyone different only fuels our drive for success in this country, so thanks (?). Anyway, if you’re not colored or gay or in support of the progressive idea of treating anyone that’s different from your own race equally, you’ll have a blast here!

The only reason they have the rating they have is because of entitled people thinking they should be sat within 10 mins. The food is absolutely amazing! Wait times do suck but there's a reason everybody wants to go there! The pork shank was exactly how it should be cooked and decently priced. We brought food to cook but after visiting foxfire we're going again a 2nd night in a row.

It was super crowded, but we got in after about 15 minutes of waiting. Our server was awesome and helped us make some great food choices. We got a few drinks from the bar and it took longer than one think it should, for a beer and glass of wine it took about 10 minutes but with it being busy and dinner time i can only assume they were being bombarded with drinks. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. Its pricy so we only went one night but we recommend.

Food was good, service sucked! I wouldn't recommend going there if you're in a hurry. The waitor was extremely rude the entire time we were there. Much better places to eat on the mountain. Don't waste you're time.
