This was the first campground I stayed at as a child. Even with the new owners this place has maintained its charm. They have been so careful with the new campsites they have put in. We bring our dog here and they are so sweet to her and to us. Even when we were late once, they were patient and flexible. This is where my now husband took me the weekend he proposed! SUCH wonderful memories we keep making in this place!!!

Allow dogs but prejudice against pit bulls. When my friend called they were rude, and when I called to confirm that they didn't accept pit bulls, they girl on the phone was unfriendly and stated they are a private family campground and therefore can do what they choose.  It would be nice if they could reconsider or allow dogs on an individual evaluation...its understandable to not allow a dangerous or aggressive dog but not based on specific breed, there are dangerous dogs of all kinds of breeds. I appreciate that your campground is a well kept place, but please consider that you alienate those of us who consider our pit bulls as part of our family camping experience:)

Beautiful campground, the lots we're roomy and surrounded my trees.  The bathrooms and showers were clean.  It was nice and quiet at  night.  Perfect spot, We will be back, thank you.

We camped at Fransted Campground in Sept 2016 and found this campground to be very quiet.  Staff was friendly and helpful.  They directed us to several sights to be viewed and recommended a breakfast restaurant that was fantastic.

Well kept grounds, and facilities. Nice staff. However the guy making rounds with a high powered flashlight from 10 pm until midnight is pretty annoying. Especially if you have a site where you can stargaze from. It is very quiet after 10, and in that case the rounds are effective. I would stay here again.
