Canon Mountain is a great place for "real skiers". It's a steep, fast, cold place with minimal amenities and local accommodations. All this contributes to a less than ideal family friendly destination, which is exactly why I love it! No crowds, no lift lines, and tends to attract more skilled skiers in general. What more could I want? The weekly pricing incentives are the final icing on the cake that makes this my hands down favorite NH ski destination.

I have to say that this place is amazing!! The natural beauty that surrounds this place is awe inspiring. There are bike trails, hiking trails, camping areas and swimming spots. There is a ski area right there for Winter activities. The o my thing that's missi g is the Old Man of the Mountain face which is such an iconic thing for New Hampshire as every where you go you see it on signs. I compare this area to the Grand Canyon. Totally different don't get me wrong, but as far as National Parks this one is right up there. I hope this inspires you to want to visit.

One of the best places for hiking during summer. Plenty of harmonious wildlife along the trails. Numerous trails for different levels of hikers. Plenty of easy-go trails near lakes are beautiful as well. Numerous parking spaces available but may have to park on roadside on peak days.

What great memories we made as we visited several spots and took a couple of hikes. There was some construction happening in a building that was probably used for tourists, but it didn't hinder our hike until we got to the gorge and realize we couldn't hike the normal way up. They were rebuilding the wooden stairs that climb up through the Gorge. We did find another way to the top and still got some good views. Hopefully they will finish their project the summer of 2018.

I did not want to stop here at all, but my husband insisted we needed to stretch our legs, and I’m so glad he did!!! What a gorgeous park and hiking trail!!! We had a wonderful time walking the trail, observing the beautiful waterfalls, colorful scenery, talking with the other visitors. Such a lovely place, great for taking pictures too!
