I traveled to two different Free People locations for this Rose Gold Choker necklace that I wanted so bad. These stores didn't have it. But, they told me that Rockefeller has 6 of them in-store. So, I went there and this employee tells me that they don't sell those and that they're probably online only. I told her that it wasn't an online only item and that the other stores said it's 6 at this store. She didn't help or bother to search. I was on my way out the store when NAJEEN asked me "What was it you were looking for?" I showed her the picture and she went to the back and searched for it. She said she was determined to find the necklace for me. She looked through many jewelry bags and found it! I really love hard working people with great customer service skills. I saw her a few hours later that night on the train heading home and we waved at each other. People like her make my day and puts a smile on my face.

My experiences at this store was not pleasant to say the least. The first time I visited here none of the customer associates said anything to me, no hello,. It wasn't until I asked for help that I grabbed someone's attention. They were busy chatting it up on non-work related things, I know this because It bothered me as a business professional that they would be getting paid to not help customers, mind you I wasn't the only person who was in the store. Just recently I was in the store and this incident this time around is what encouraged me to write this review. I was looking to exchange a dress for a smaller size for a gift I had purchased for a friend. I walked in and started looking for another dress that may fit her not 1 minute into the store the sales associate instantly asked for the bag (their free people bag) to put behind the register so that I can exchange / return when I was ready. I was really insulted that she would take my return bag to put behind the register as she wouldn't take no it's okay for an answer she was persistent. I felt that she would think I would steal something. the only thing I had on me was the return bag and my phone, I did not have a purse or anything else on me. The receipt and item were still wrapped in the tissue paper in the bag. This was beyond rude and I felt discriminated. I told someone at work about this incident and they said they had a bad experience at the same store as well where no one wanted to help her. I said do you think they were profiling you. She said absolutely because other people were in the store and they received help and a hello. Free people sells clothes that are on the expensive side so I would think their customer service and friendliness would be astounding. I was wrong, through my experiences with this store, their overall unjust attitude I would no longer be purchasing their items.
