I was fairly disappointed when I visited Paul Stuart while on a business trip to NYC earlier this week. I was looking for a particular style shoe, and I thought that I would check in on Paul Stuart's offerings for this shoe. The sales rep was very arrogant. He acted as if my style requests were nonsense because Paul Stuart didn't have what I wanted. I had a budget of up to $1500 for a new pair of shoes if I found what I was looking for, so it wasn't like I didn't have the money to shop there. But, Paul Stuart didn't have what I wanted. I was talked down to and treated as if I was bothering the sales rep when there wasn't even anyone else for him to help. It's sad because I've always admired Paul Stuart's footwear. I will limit myself to online shopping with Paul Stuart or just move along to some other brand.

I've shopped here since my grandfather brought me when Abercrombie and Fitch still sold shotguns and canoes next door, and only here since 1985. Pity I live in sandals in the tropics: It;s impossible to wear out their clothes. To their credit, their shops in Tokyo & Osaka... understand that some people- like me- have different proportions There's nothing in the store that is not reasonable for some occasion. I read the two complaints about less flexible tailoring and hope the new [Japanese] owners focus on quality. No one who shops there is looking at price tags. So keep the service level up.
