If I could give a lower review of this company, I would. After 3 months of "working" with them, I am unsure of their purpose. Save yourself time & money and work directly with the insurance provider. 

 After selecting an individual health insurance policy, which took weeks for Friedman's  to actually get me the proper applications and paperwork, I had to call Optima myself to register for the policy. At that time Optima told me majority of the problems I was experiencing came from dealing with an insurance agency instead of Optima directly. I should have fired Friedman at that time. But instead  I relayed this information  to Friedman who told me they would look into why Optima was struggling to work with them and get that resolved. Granted, I didn't ever get to my actual agent about that experience because she was always out to lunch, on an offsite appointment,  home sick, on vacation, or on another call. So I often dealt with her assistant who wasn't trained or a colleague who wasn't up to date on the dealings with Optima. 
BUT, they all promised every problem would be my last complication.

Today, two month after Friedman, Optima and I got my policy activated, paid for, and set up on auto payment  I received a bill from Optima for much higher, almost double the monthly premiums for what Friedman's 'set me up for' Upon complaining ( and make no mistake, I aggressively complained to them) I was told it is better that I work directly with Optima. I wish I had done this from the start and hope anyone reading this takes the last bit of advice, 

This company is a scam! They will load you down with excuses on why they can't! 

Do yourself a huge favor and call whichever the insurance company directly and skip the headache of this company.
