Zupa Di Pesce was unbelievable!! I have had it many times at many different restaurants but, this place gives you so much at a reasonable price. I couldn't believe the size of the bowls for the shells. Brought a friend and he got his fra di avolo. The service was outstanding also. Before I could finish one beer she came back to see if we needed anything. And this was on Saturday night. We had drinks, an order of fried calamari, 2 Zupa Di Pesce and a chicken franchise for $180.00 with the tip. I`ve paid $40. for a zupa di pesce at other places and didn't get this much food.
Great prices, hot fresh food served in a timely manner. I had a large Calamari & large Ceasar Salad. Calamari was delicious salad was very heavy on lettuce but not bad. In & out in under 10 minutes. Definitely will return.
I ordered several trays of food from Gagliardi’s for a holiday party at my home yesterday. I am so pleased with the quality of food to the generous portions. The food was delivered to my home by the nicest gentleman too. Not only would I use them again for my catering needs but I have another holiday party at my house in 6 days, and will be calling them to provide food once again. The eggplant rollatini is a must!!!

I came here for a nice family dinner on Saturday night for my moms birthday. I’ve come here before and been satisfied but after this last encounter I will not be coming back. Throughout the meal we had to exchange our drinking glasses because they had lipstick or other residue on them. Also, we sat outside and had to go inside to get the attention of our waitress multiple times. It took 30-40 minutes for a dish to come out. On top of that, the kitchen got my order wrong after I had already been waiting about 45 minutes after ordering. I could see spending nearly 3 hours at a restaurant if you are ordering multiple things but drinks, appetizers, and dinner should not take 3 hours. I will not be coming here again.
The food here is great. Prices affordable. I usually have baked ziti which is prepared perfectly. Staff is attentive and engaging. Our only complaint is that it REALLY needs carpeting in there to cut down on noise. If there are only 2 tables in there and one crying baby, it reverates till you cant hear youself think. Its like that in most restaurants these days. I get it. Its easier to clean. But it does detract from the overall experience. We would LOVE to come back. Please consider maybe a commercial area rug or some remedy to cut down on the echo.
As a New Yorker, this is the most respectable Margherita pie I can get in New Haven. Garlic bread and meatballs were great too. My regular place when I’m in the area.Takeout: YesDelivery: Yes
I usually come here for take out pizza. They do have an indoor dining room available which is updated and clean and its not ever too busy. Did eat outside on the patio once which was nice. Food is always good here and staff is real nice too.
First time = Last time .... I went to Gagliardis this past weekend for a birthday dinner. The service was horrible and the food came out wrong. Nothing was done or even offered to make things right. Waiting 20 mins for a server to bring you a beer is unacceptable. I understand they are short staffed, but seeing 2-3 other tables being served and gone before we even got our apps just shows that we were being ignored. The quality of the food was good the meals they actually got correct but not worth a 3 hour meal that should have taken us an hour and a half tops! Drinks are way over priced as well! Stay away!
I had high hopes for the place. Got chicken Parmesan ordered an eggplant parm, but whatever I was not happy, chicken was terrible bland and tough, sauce tasted like it came from a can. I had 2 bites and trashed the rest. Seems like people dining in have had a better experience, from the reviews, but I won’t be eating here again.
