Friendly service, had the eggplant parm dinner and it was a huge portion and delicious!! Have had pizza here as well and always good! Great place.

If you like New Haven style thin crust pizza, then this is the place to go. Compared to a lot of Italian restaurants that I’ve visited, this place makes the best penne alla vodka around. Diners portions are very generous. Great entertainment on weekends. Nice place to eat, kick back and enjoy!

Gem of Washington ave! The owners really gave the location the restaurant it deserved. The place is clean, well managed, and has a good classic bar restaurant atmosphere. The tap menu isn’t anything special but they have the right local beers on tap. The menu is good and thin crust pizza come pretty close to New Haven’s best. The bar snack of fried spaghetti is a fun snack to munch on at the bar

We love this restaurant. Creative drinks are made right the first time. Menu is simple but the food quality is wonderful.  Pizza sauce and pasta sauce don't taste the same - my mom created different marinara sauces for each and it tastes like The Bar does, too. Always an enjoyable dinner, and the portions are big enough that we always have leftovers. Any time we've brought friends, they've agreed on all counts.

I thought the Pizza was very good.  Perhaps a minute or two longer in the oven, but that's my personal preference.  I was surprised at how big the pies were.  I got two mediums and what came out looked more like a large or extra large.  There certainly is good value in the food.  We got a ton of good pizza for not very much money.  The dining area asides from the bar could use a little updating but otherwise it was a cozy atmosphere.  The staff was fantastic.  Very attentive and friendly.  We will certainly be going back.  I would recommend giving it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Maybe we didn't order the right pizza too much toppings because they were both soft.  Eggplant rollatini was very good!

Their online menu is not up to date. They charged $13.00 for a small cheese pizza not $8.00.

Pizza was ok my order was wrong asked for a sausage mushoom got a sausage with very little cheese. Waitress was a little rude she seemed to be running the bar and tables by herself so she was overwhelemed.  Will not go here again.

Went there on a Monday with coworkers and there was only one waitress, she did an amazing job and I can’t remember her name but thank you so much for being social and attentive! The food and drinks were good! It sorta looks like a hole in the wall but the food was amazing especially the fried calamari! Definitely will be returning!
