I ordered an item online for in store pick up at 8:45 PM on Wednesday, the email I received shortly after the order said the store would hold the item for up to 24 hours. I went to pick it up the next day, on Thursday, around 2 PM, less then 24 hours since my order. When I went to pick it up they told me that they had "sent the item back to Michigan", as they seemed to think I took longer than 24 hours to pick up the item. No attempt was made to fix the issue, they just told me I could go to the Tiffin GameStop and buy the item for the full price of $50, compared to the $15 I would have paid for it had they not screwed up. I'm not one to write negative reviews, stuff happens, I get it. But this level of incompetence and service is unacceptable.

The current employees aren't as up on everything as they should be. I overheard a customer ask for a copy of an older game for a certain game system, with the employee responding that they didn't make that game for that particular system. It had been, but the employee obviously didn't know much about games or systems, and it cost the store the sale. And the review that Dakota gave is somewhat accurate. They will not quote any prices over the phone, but that is per company policy (so some moron doesn't sue them in case the value of the item is different than what was quoted). The person at the other Gamestop was breaking the company policy by quoting prices over the phone. As for the trade-in prices, they are set by their corporate; the stores have no say as to what corporate does. Overall, they are not the most informed staff, but they are following company policy and are people trying to do their jobs.

Well, last night I was sorting through some of my old game cords and came a cross a Xbox 360 AV cord and a PSP charger. I thought to myself hey, I can probably make like $15 at Gamestop. The next afternoon I call up the Gamestop in the Findlay Village Mall and proceed to ask the lady prices for the two items I have. She says she can not discuss a offer with me me over the phone, she has to see the product before she can disclose a price (what are we doing making a drug deal or something). Anyway, I asked why do you have to see it, its not like its a game or something if it works, it works. Most of all Microsoft and Sony chargers and AV cord look exactly alike straight from the manufacturer. See what I think is they make up their own prices from time to time or why else wouldn't they have a set price for trade-in on that item. Here is the next thing, I call just down the street to the other Gamestop ask for a price on the items and he tells me with no problem...WTF
