I lived in east Oakland, shopped here regularly in 2014.  The store is about the same in quality, emphasis on good fresh meat.  I moved to Seattle so upon returning to shop at Gazzali's today I was surprised and almost in disbelief to find out or be told that no department or cashier in the store was allowed to give me $5.00 worth of quarters.  Where I live now, there would be no way I'd be flatly turned down with several options.  Not even an apology from this kid  Anyway, excuse my review.  Customer service in da hood always depresses me.

It is a great store, it does not smell really it doesn’t and the prices I guess is too high didn’t notice it until a mom with her kid show me the store brand cheese is the same as the regular brand cheese, I guess the store manager explain to Monique, About It... But Really It’s A Great Store It Does Not Smell, I’m On A Fix Income And I Think And Know This Store Cheap Because Cvc Is Higher My Opinion, Thank You Very Much.

How can milk one day apart spoil so fast????? 
I bought a small container for my cookies and the next day the exact same size milk was spoiled just that fast. What's the frightening smell at the front door

I hate this store but unfortunately it's the only grocer near my home. It stinks as soon as you walk in and the prices are ridiculously HIGH. I have purchased frozen items time after time thinking it's just this one thing. No, EVERY item from the freezer dept is FREEZERBURNED! The only 3 reasons I patronize it now...Bill pay station, the food court which has GREAT food, and the fresh produce which is reasonably priced. I'll uber to Walmart before I buy another frozen item from them!

Clean !  Nice supermarket ! But the prices are hell of expensive its hella crazy because like for the same food same prices if you drive down the street food is about 50 _1.00 cheaper and better deals. They have a meat department / dairy your typical carneceria guac Pico salsa cheese but they make you pay for all that in the back. Crazy as hell and then they have there food department who makes pizza sandwiches etc other than the prices the store is pretty good
