Nice place to bring kids to play or just walk. Tennis courts, baseball diamond, football field for younger players. There's a recreation center wth basketball court and parking. Continue on to the paths. You can see the kids garden, the soccer field, parking, restrooms, and the dog park. Cross S Genesee St, more parking, picnic shelter. Walk to Mt Baker Rowing & Sailing Center and enjoy the water. It's peaceful walk.

Great open space and play fields! However, be careful in controlling your drones. We took a Christmas gift down to the park by Lake Washington to try it out. My son handled it well for four short shakedown flights. The fifth took off and went up, up, up. Almost out of sight. It headed right over the play fields to the South and then dropped out of the sky. We spent three hours searching for it but to no avail. 🤔

Genesee Park is a nice big open park. A few good long trails to walk on. Near Lake Washington.

Have a dog? Live in The Ranier Valley or have a car? Go here. Best part is minimal dog walker packs, and pretty attentive dog owners monitoring their animal's behavior.

It could use some more trees for shade and adventure but it's a nice city dog park that's not a mud hole in winter.
