This has been my dentist of choice for many years now.  Dr. Gentry is a knowledgeable doctor who does not give off tense vibes and I think  this contributes to the lack of stress I feel about appts in that office.  I have always felt very comfortable, cared for and even a little special  in interactions with the clinical staff.  The Hygienist and even the specialist are very gentle but thorough. The office staff is easy to work with and will file the insurance paperwork if appropriate.  I don't know of any dedicated or preferred parking for this office but I have not had much trouble finding free street parking within a block usually.  If you are looking for a good dentist. Oh by the way, the office has Old Arlington charm but has been thoroughly updated and is lovely.

I have always been one of those people who dread going to the dentist and put it off for as long as possible. I’ve had bad luck with my teeth, always having cavities despite regular brushing and had multiple root canals by the time I  was 28. My fear of the dentist culminated with a bad episode with a different dental office a year ago that triggered a severe migraine episode and landed me in the ER. 
After a colleague referred me to Dr. Gentry I gave it a try as he was in a good location and I of course had more dental issues that needed to be addressed. I will NEVER go to a different dentist in the DMV area! Dr. Gentry took the time to discuss my fears and complicated dental health history. He has addressed multiple cavities and fillings with little to no pain including the numbing injections (seriously, that’s sometimes the worst part but he makes it so you barley feel it). 
I recently cracked a back molar eating almonds (awful luck remember) and Dr Gentry worked some magic so he could fit a porcelain crown instead of a gold one despite the small space in that area. He also did a complimentary filling for me on an adjacent tooth while working on the crown since he knew I had already maxed out my insurance and didn’t want me to have to wait another year to get it fixed. 
I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Gentry! He and his staff are kind, caring, and good at what they do! He has cured my fear of going to the dentist!

I have been going to this dental practice since 2004 and I am forever grateful that a co-worker recommended them! I use to be hesitant to go to the dentist because in the past when I get cavities filled the other dentist would drill even if I could feel it. Not here! My first time there was amazing he is by far the most gentle dentist ever :) He actually cares and if you can feel anything he will stop what he is doing and numb you up again before he starts back up. And my most recent visit in March 2018 did not disappoint even though I had multiple cavities to get filled. Plus the staff is great/friendly and the office is really nice.

Doctor Gentry has been an excellent choice for my family and I for several years.  He will remember your last conversation no matter how long the time between visits has been and his staff is very kind as well.  Appointments are easy to fit into a busy schedule and you are never kept long.  Doctor Gentry did an excellent job fixing my cracked moral and even saved the root of my tooth thanks to his hard work.

I have had several dentists and Dr. Gentry is by far the best I have ever had. He fixed a chipped and cracked tooth of mine that another dentist had done a poor job on. I am so happy with the results and love my smile now! Not only is he a great dentist but he also spends time to listen to you and your concerns. Highly recommend to anyone!
