Story

I have been practicing in Arlington, Virginia for 27 years. In that time, I have dedicated myself to the health and well being of my patients.

Dentistry has evolved into a complex and significant part of our overall health. The direct influence of our teeth and mouths over our general health is very evident now. Cosmetic dentistry has grown tremendously, and I have a vital interest in it and in other developing technologies.

I firmly believe that my staff and I have a superior ability to calm our most anxious patients.

I believe that you should not have to suffer from dental pain. Therefore, we will accommodate those in pain on a same day basis.

I want to show you what it’s like to have dental care in a most professional way possible.

Dr. McIntire is a true professional. He pairs the best dental skills and knowledge, with an extremely friendly and courteous manner with patients. I have been going for 3 years, and highly recommend him

My family has been going to Dr. McIntire for the past 20 years, and we have found him and his staff to be outstanding. He is professional, thorough and patient. He explains what he's doing and does everything to ensure that the end result is as it should be. His hygienist, Janice, is wonderful - also very thorough, but not in a painful way! Lovely to talk to. The receptionist, Johanna, is extremely friendly and efficient. They are also very good with children - my daughter has been going there since she was 3 or 4 and has never expressed any anxiety about it, but looks forward to seeing everyone there. Very warm and friendly practice.

I've been going to Dr. McIntire for about 8 years now because he has one of the best bed-side manners of any dentist I've ever known.  Dr. McIntire does a great job of ensuring my comfort level when I'm having a dental procedure and takes immediate steps if I feel any discomfort.   

Somebody who I'm going to allow to stick sharp objects in my mouth that move 60,000 miles per hour must have my complete trust, and he's got it.  I've sent friends to him and will remain a loyal customer.

I LOVE DOC MCINTIRE.  I was referred to him by my best friend after she was tired of me complaining about my down right painful, awful, dentist appointments with my previous dentist.  So I finally make an appointment to go to see Doc Mac, and the second I walk in things are different.  Ben (the old front desk receptionist) was so friendly and warm, I fell in love with him instantly.  Then I got called in right away, didn't have to wait for an additional 20 to 30 minutes.  I'm welcomed by his assistant, who exudes the same warmth and friendliness as she chats, gets to know me, while prepping me (x-rays etc) for the dentists.  Then in comes the dentist who sits down next to me, introduces himself and welcomes me to his office.  I can't believe how friendly this guy is.  He talks about why I'm here, reads my x-rays to me, and explains step by step the procedure in layman's terms.  

I would end up needing a root canal.  The numbing process for a breeze, and I didn't feel a thing. And he patiently waited and checked to make sure I was truly numb before he started.  My old dentist, would prick me so hard with the needle, wait a couple minutes, then start drilling before I was fully numb.  I knew I was in good hands from second he numbed me.  They even gave me a mouth prop to keep my mouth open, so I could go to sleep or just relax as he did his job.  I could go on and on about what a great first impression this dentist (and office) made on me, but then this review could be a few pages long.  

I sing the praises of this dentist to anyone who utters the words "I need a dentist".  I don't care if your in DC, MD, anywhere other than northern VA, it's worth the drive.  He makes the visit worth it, and I've always looked forward to my appointments.  The entire office has literally turned into an extended family.  They actually remember me, and the things we talk about.  They never fail to continue the conversations from where we left off.  Oh, and his staff has stayed consistently the same (outside of a retirement) which is a great sign of people loving what they do and the people they work with. Kudos to Dr. McIntire...not only is he great at what he does, he makes it a warm, professional, relaxed environment.  Never leaving this office!!
