Cool park to hang out in in good weather whilst taking in the scenery. Good people watching too.

Nice waterfront park. Notable features include a large fountain and a Celtic-inspired meditation maze.

Georgetown Waterfront Park is one of the best urban parks in DC. It's on the Potomac overlooking Rosslyn in Arlington, VA. There are plenty of walk ways and benches to enjoy the water and a sunny day. They also have informational signs throughout explaining the history and purpose of eco-friendly innovations found in the park. Just off the park is a bridge that reminds people of Seattle. Under the bridge, you can find a coffee shop, a theater, and a few restaurants. Pro-tip: Walk a few blocks to Baked and Wired for DC's best cupcakes.

We dropped by the Georgetown Waterfront Park after we spent the day kayaking on the Potomac. It's a beautiful splash of greenery, with what seemed like a lot to do. On such a nice weekend, there were plenty of people enjoying the sun - we stumbled upon a group of dancers, people enjoying games with their dogs, and families enjoying the weather. If you're in the area, definitely drop by to get a walk in and enjoy the views of the river and cityscape. There is an abundance of restaurants, coffee shops, and boat rentals, and and slew of other attractions nearby as well.

Good place to take the pooch to throw a ball, read a book, or sip some coffee. Beautiful view, great environment.
