This has to be the most careless Vital Records department in the US. After 8 months and several hundred dollars, they FINALLY processed the requests for my family's vital records only to COMPLETELY DISREGARD the requester address and mail all of those birth records to an incorrect address where they actually merged 2 different addresses. It was literally spelled out in bold, larger font on where to send them and they instead just mailed them to some place in Lancaster city. 

USPS cannot reroute or intercept  the mail, Georgia admits they messed up but refuse to send me out the 12 birth certificates until the others are returned and now I am sitting here hoping that random person either does the right thing and returns them or that at least they think it's junk mail and throw it away. 

I will have no way of knowing what is happening with my family's vital records now and just have to cross my fingers that when my kids turn 18, they don't discover someone else has used their documents, seeing as Georgia just handed them over to complete strangers. I know the school systems are garbage there, but I would think basic reading comprehension should be required when working for the State.

Very poos customer service, staff are not friendly even though they have a great schedule.8:00-4:pm. They are no helpful, make stupid rules and excuses not to do their job. They act lazy and let you know your situation is not important. I have been there 3 times and none of the times they solved my ISSUE! also trying to called and the lady that helped was rude and could not even try to help and gave me more excuses not to help.
also they asked for a notarized paper work the first time and the second time they didn't even checked the stamp to see if it was legit. so it makes me believe they do not want to do their job. Good luck to any of you that's going there and hope for the staff to be in a good mood and willing to Work instead being sitting there like it is the worse place in earth!!! if i could give 0 star i would!

Phenomenal... At the last minute, I could not place my hands on my birth certificate. I’ve visited the location and I arrived at 8:20 AM. I was in my car leaving with a certified copy by 8:26 AM.

I had a question regarding modification of a Vital Record.  Had a bit of wait time on hold initially, but once I got through, Alecia was very helpful and patiently answered all my questions.

I have been trying to get my daughters birth certificate changed since March 2017. We just so happened to send all the paperwork at the same time vital records changed locations, with that came the loss of all our important paperwork and info AND money order, nothing could be done due to the fact we misplaced our money order receipt. We have sent another set of papers and money order to get this done, with the previous loss my apprehension should be understood but no, I called this morning to verify that they have received it this time and all I get is the woman on the other end of the phone cutting me off and telling me how long the whole process takes and when I try to explain why I was calling, to just have confirmation, she continues to cut me off. Finally she asks for my info, obviously irritated, to check if it has arrived. To me this is important to know, to me it is not just another "customer ", I have the right to know the location of MY vital information especially when the last set is lost somewhere! Please have a little more patience for people who are trying to inquire about personal information. I will be glad when this process is complete so I can move forward with my child.
