The Lodge’s season is the first Friday of February through mid-December. Reservations for the following season begin December 1st.

Dining reservations always accepted on weekends and recommended during the week for parties over 9.

I went with my family here for lunch on a Sunday for their all-you-can-eat chicken dinner. The wait was long, but there are comfortable couches and checkers and things to look okay while you wait. The food is fantastic and served family-style. My baby are her weight in dumplings!

The food was fantastic family style, we all had the fried chicken and it was really good. All the sides were very tasty. We really enjoyed the lodge atmosphere and it was just a very enjoyable time. The drive in to the lodge was scenic and fun for the boys to see we did not have a chance to look at the cabins but they looked very nice from the outside. The entire park was well kept. We plan on getting back for a vacation soon.

Food was outstanding! And the wait staff was excellent. They really were hard workers and yet still had a smile for all the customers! Watching them work wore me out!!!

I had no idea Illinois could be this beautiful. Woods and hills and rock formations and lakes: who knew? The horse back riding is excellent, quality horses and very helpful guides. The lodge is a wonderful old place to eat, with good food, and the nature center is well run.

Had a great dinner for the whole family. It was busy, so we played games while waiting for our seats. Overall wonderful experience!
